Cards
A card whose number is not lying around
Virtual in a minute, physical if you want one. What matters is what happens when you ask to see the number.
Virtual or physical
A virtual card is issued at once. A physical one is ordered and reviewed before it is activated — an unapproved card cannot be active, and the database enforces that.
The full number appears only after your PIN.
Security
The number, after your PIN
The full number and the security code are fetched only when you ask and only after your PIN. They are never part of the page, and the reveal is written to the audit trail.
- A card's full number and security code appear only after the PIN.
- Every attempt is written to the log, successful or not.
- Daily and monthly ceilings are yours to change. They are recorded instructions rather than an active engine — we say so here rather than let a figure suggest otherwise.
- A blocked card never comes back — that is what blocking means. To pause a card and resume later, deactivate it instead: two different words for two different acts.
PIN code
Asked for on every transfer, every card order, every administrative decision.
